Why can't I use a company plane? I could leave at noon and get to Florida by the same time...

I did that once, shit's scary and I'm not scared of flying.

Oh boo hoo. Why not fly yourself?

First world problem, stop whining and man up

Hey are you going to the car show tomorrow?

That kind of is ironic that an airplane company outsources to transport their employees.

Unfortunately I will not be in attendance.

This is pleasure, not business. They'll use jets to fly people for business sometimes, but it costs a lot of money so I think it's become pretty rare unless they're taking the jet for another reason (like showing it at a convention)

That would have cost more I think

Assuming that both were loaned for free I guess sitting in luxury would be preferable.

Ah, I kind of figured it was for business, but the cost thing makes sense. My cousin is a pilot, but before that he was a worker at a municipal airport. He said it costs like 10k just to fill up a Citation.

Depends on the Citation. The one pictured holds around 1700 gallons of fuel. At $6 a gallonish that's about $10k. Smaller jets hold less fuel. On this plane that fuel will get you 2700 miles though, which is pretty far

That seems like so few miles, but then again that's a lot of power carrying a lot of weight. Plus, if you can afford the plane itself, you can probably afford to fill it up.
